9:7-6. Blanket consents and approvals; agreements; assignment of powers and duties In carrying out the powers, duties and responsibilities provided by this chapter, the Commissioner of Institutions and Agencies, subject to the approval of the State Board of Control of Institutions and Agencies, may: (a) grant blanket consents and approvals and approve blanket indemnity bonds with respect to public or private agencies of other States which are accredited in their respective States for the placement of children; and (b) enter into agreements made or approved by the State Department of Welfare or similar body of any other State, or the authorized representative thereof, with respect to the interstate placement of children; which agreements, in proper case, may be made effective in lieu of consents and approvals, or indemnity bonds, or both, as required by this chapter; and (c) assign any or all of the powers, duties and responsibilities provided by this chapter for administration by the State Board of Child Welfare.
