Recovery of penalty in bond

9:7-5. Recovery of penalty in bond The penalty provided in the bond referred to in section 9:7-2 of this chapter shall be recovered in any court of competent jurisdiction in the name of the State of New Jersey; and such bond shall remain in force, and actions may be brought thereon, during any time within which there may be, within this State, any child under the age of 18 years, whose placement is covered by the provisions of such bond, and who shall have been brought, sent or received into this State by the principal obligor of such bond; provided, however, that upon the adoption of any such child the bond may be canceled forthwith.
