9:6-8.36a Report to prosecutor of all instances of suspected child abuse, neglect. 1. The Department of Children and Families shall immediately report all instances of suspected child abuse and neglect, as defined by regulations, to the county prosecutor of the county in which the child resides. The regulations shall be developed jointly by the department and the county prosecutors, approved by the Attorney General, and promulgated by the Commissioner of Children and Families.
