9:6-8.27 Temporary removal with consent. 7. a. A police officer or an agency or institution or individual may temporarily remove a child from the place where he is residing with the consent of his parent or other person legally responsible for his care, if, there is reasonable cause to suspect that the child's life or health is in imminent danger. If the child is not returned within 3 working days from the date of removal, the procedure required pursuant to this act shall be applied immediately. b. (Deleted by amendment, P.L.2006, c.47).
