9:6-6. Disposition of fines, penalties and forfeitures All fines, penalties and forfeitures imposed and collected in any case when any society, association or board incorporated or organized under the laws of this state having as one of its objects the prevention of cruelty to children, shall be complainant, shall inure to such society, to be used by it for the benefit of the children in its care. All other fines imposed by a court in accordance with the provisions of this chapter shall be paid to the overseer of the poor of the municipality where the defendant resided, to be used for the benefit of the poor of that municipality.
