Designation of appropriate public authorities.

9:23-6 Designation of appropriate public authorities. 2. As used in Article III of the compact "appropriate public authorities" and as used in subsection a. of paragraph 1. of Article V of the compact, "appropriate authority in the receiving state" means, with reference to New Jersey, the Department of Children and Families and the department shall receive and act with reference to notices required by Article III.
