Purpose

6:1-20. Purpose The purpose of this act is to provide in the interest of public safety and of aeronautic progress for the regulation of aeronautics in and over this State; to require that aircraft, airports, airport managements, landing fields, landing strips, and other avigational facilities, airmen, ground personnel and all persons engaged in aeronautics within or over this State, shall conform to standards of safety and sound practice as prescribed by the laws of this State and any rules or regulations thereunder, and for uniformity in certain regards with the laws, rules and regulations of the United States Government.
