Pilots to have federal license; certificate to be carried and shown on demand

6:1-12. Pilots to have federal license; certificate to be carried and shown on demand No person shall operate or navigate any aircraft within the state unless he shall have a proper and effective pilot's license or permit issued by the department of commerce of the United States for the type of flying operation in which he is engaged. A certificate of the license shall be kept in the personal possession of the licensee while he is operating aircraft within this state, and must be presented for inspection upon demand of any passenger, police officer of this state, or member or representative of the state aviation commission, or any official, manager or person in charge of any airport or landing field in this state upon which he shall land.
