Purpose

6:1-1. Purpose The purpose of this chapter is to provide, in the interests of public safety and of aeronautical progress, for the regulation of aircraft in and over this state, to require that aircraft operating in and over the state shall conform with respect to design, construction and airworthiness to the standards prescribed by the United States government with respect to the navigation of aircraft for civil purposes, subject to its jurisdiction, and to require the licensing of aircraft and airmen.
