Definitions

58:10-23.21. Definitions As used in this act: a. "Department" means the Department of Environmental Protection; b. "Hazardous discharge" means a discharge of hazardous substances as defined in subsection h. of section 3 of P.L.1976, c. 141 (C. 58:10-23.11b); c. "Sites of chemical contamination" means abandoned or retired sites of hazardous substance disposal posing present or imminent threats to public health, property or the natural environment, the owners of which are not identifiable or are judgment proof.
