Tax exemptions

55:14K-34. Tax exemptions a. All property of the agency is hereby declared to be public property devoted to an essential public and governmental function and purpose and shall be exempt from all taxes and special assessments of the State or any subdivision thereof. All bonds issued pursuant to this act are hereby declared to be issued by a body corporate and politic of this State and for an essential public and governmental purpose and such bonds, and the interest thereon and the income therefrom, and all fees, charges, funds, revenues, income and other moneys pledged or available to pay or secure the payment of such bonds, or interest thereon, shall at all times be exempt from taxation, except for transfer inheritance and estate taxes. b. The sale to a housing sponsor of all materials and supplies to be used to construct, improve or rehabilitate a housing project financed by a loan made by the agency to the housing sponsor shall be exempt from all sales taxes of the State or any subdivision thereof.
