55:13C-2.1 Refusal of admittance to homeless shelter to certain mentally ill people prohibited; exceptions. 1. No person shall be refused admittance to an emergency shelter for the homeless based on a perception or belief that the person has a mental illness, unless there is a reasonable basis to believe that the person poses a danger to self, others, or property, or if the basis for the refusal is otherwise authorized by law or regulation.
