Collector's monthly report; payments to municipal treasurer

54:4-73. Collector's monthly report; payments to municipal treasurer The collector, or other officer having custody of collected taxes, shall, on the first day of each month or oftener if required by the governing body of the municipality, report his collections to the governing body of the municipality, and pay the amount collected to the treasurer or other official of the municipality authorized to receive the same. If the collector shall also be the treasurer of the municipality, he shall immediately upon collection deposit all moneys collected, in the name of the municipality to his account as treasurer in the place designated by the governing body of the municipality.
