54:4-57. Taxes on federal property; payment by municipality deferred until collected When property of the United States shall be assessed for taxes, and the assessment levied by a municipality in which the property is situate, the municipality shall not be required to make payment of any part of those taxes to the county treasurer or state treasurer for county and state taxes respectively until they are actually collected by or paid to the municipality.
