53:3-13. Petty cash fund; bond of disbursing officers The superintendent shall establish a petty cash account from the annual appropriations to the amount of five thousand dollars, and shall authorize designated commissioned officers to make disbursements from this account in all cases where it becomes necessary to make an immediate cash payment for transportation expenses, accessories and repairs to motor vehicles, board and lodging, immediate medical and veterinary supplies, telephone and imperative supplementary supplies. Upon presentation of vouchers for moneys expended from the petty cash fund, the fund will be reimbursed to the amount of vouchers submitted. Every disbursing officer shall file a bond with the superintendent in the amount of five thousand dollars for faithful performance of duty, and proper administration of funds.
