53:1-20.16. Criminal history record background check on adjusters 21. At the request of the Commissioner of Insurance, the Division of State Police in the Department of Law and Public Safety shall conduct a criminal history record background check, which includes a name and fingerprint identification check, of each individual applicant and proposed sublicensee for a public adjuster's license, to ascertain whether the person has a criminal history record, pursuant to subsection b. of section 6 of P.L.1993, c.66 (C.17:22B-6).
