Effective date of Federal census of 2000

52:4-5. Effective date of Federal census of 2000 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any law to the contrary, the Federal census of 2000 shall become effective on January 1, 2002. This act shall not determine the effective date of the census for the purposes of reapportionment or redistricting following the promulgation of the 2000 Federal census, or for the purpose of the distribution of financial aid by the State to any of its political subdivisions.
