52:31-24. Responsibility for management of state-owned residential housing and establishment of housing program; jurisdiction of housing for state employees; exceptions The board shall be responsible for the management of all State-owned residential housing and shall establish policies and procedures for an equitable, coordinated and uniform housing program. The board shall have jurisdiction over residential housing located in every State agency available for State employees; except that the board shall have no jurisdiction with respect to and this act shall not apply to armories or military housing in the Department of Defense, State college student housing, housing for State college presidents, housing for the Chancellor of Higher Education, the Commissioner of Education, the Commissioner of Corrections and the superintendents of State correctional facilities and residential housing acquired by the Department of Transportation in the course of acquiring land for highway rights-of-way or for use by any other transportation facilities pursuant to Title 27 of the Revised Statutes and which may be rented temporarily to comply with the requirements of the "Relocation Assistance Act," P.L.1971, c. 362 (C. 20:4-1 et seq.).
