52:31-14. Application of article; vehicles excepted The provisions of this article shall apply to all automobiles or other vehicles purchased with moneys appropriated by the state, or from funds in the custody of any officer, institution or department. The provisions of this article shall not apply to any automobile or vehicle in the service of the commissioner of motor vehicles and the governor nor to any automobile or vehicle in the service of the board of fish and game commissioners in use for the enforcement of the fish and game laws.
