52:27D-43.17e Authority of board. 5. The board is authorized to: a. Subpoena any records, other than criminal investigatory records pertaining to a criminal investigation in progress, concerning a domestic violence-related fatality or near fatality and other records, which may be deemed pertinent to the review process and necessary for the formulation of a conclusion by the board; b. Apply for and accept any grant of money from the federal government, private foundations or other sources, which may be available for programs related to the prevention of domestic violence; and c. Enter into contracts with individuals, organizations and institutions necessary for the performance of its duties under this act. L.2003,c.225,s.5.
