Powers of community action agency

52:27D-401. Powers of community action agency A community action agency shall have the following powers: a. To adopt bylaws; b. To implement and administer community action programs; c. To enter into any agreement or contract with any public, private nonprofit or profit-making agency or organization to assist in fulfilling the agency's purposes and functions; d. To receive and accept, from any public or private source, funds or real or personal property; e. To appoint and employ personnel as deemed necessary; f. To transfer funds and delegate powers to other organizations or agencies, as permitted by its community action board; g. To carry out any requirement or power permitted by federal law; and h. To take such other steps as may be necessary or appropriate to provide assistance or benefits to the low-income community it serves. L.1991,c.51,s.7.
