Furnishing of recreation by local governmental unit

52:27D-29.5. Furnishing of recreation by local governmental unit Any local governmental unit is hereby authorized to furnish and foster recreational activities for the elderly as set forth in the comprehensive program developed by the director, or to contract therefor with private, nonprofit agencies to provide such services, and to receive and expend moneys from the State, the Federal Government or private individuals, corporations or associations therefor. The furnishing of such recreation is hereby declared to be a proper public purpose for which the moneys of such county or municipality may be raised and expended. L.1968, c. 92, s. 5, eff.
