Cancellation of uncollectible claims of state for grant or rental of riparian lands

52:27B-9.1. Cancellation of uncollectible claims of state for grant or rental of riparian lands Where any institution, department, commission, officer or other agency charged with the receipt and collection of any moneys due the State, for the grant, lease or rental of riparian lands or interests therein, shall determine by resolution that moneys due the State as aforesaid are uncollectible, notification to this effect shall be given to the Commissioner of Taxation and Finance, and the said commissioner is hereby authorized and empowered, after investigation and upon review, in his discretion, to cancel any such sum or sums due as aforesaid, and further to order such claims removed from the State financial records and from the records of any such institution, department, commission, officer or agency as aforesaid.
