52:27B-33. Bureau of Accounting established; functions There is hereby established in the Division of Budget and Accounting the Bureau of Accounting. The commissioner, through the Bureau of Accounting, shall prescribe the procedures for the collection of revenues; institute and direct prosecution against delinquent officers of the revenue and for just claims and accounts against the State; provide and maintain a uniform system of accounting for the State, its departments, institutions, courts and other State agencies. The commissioner, through the Bureau of Accounting, shall follow the provisions and procedure set forth in sections twenty-five through thirty-eight, inclusive, of this article.
