52:27-12. Subpoenas; failure to obey or refusal to answer questions The commission may issue subpoenas, signed by a majority of the commission, to compel attendance of witnesses before it and the production of books, papers and records. Any failure to obey any subpoena so issued or refusal to answer questions propounded by the commission, shall be punishable by the Superior Court in the same manner as a similar failure or refusal would be punishable in a case pending in such court. Amended by L.1953, c. 49, p. 866, s. 31.
