Exclusive use of state auditor's department required; exceptions

52:24-9. Exclusive use of state auditor's department required; exceptions No state department, board, commission or other agency of the state government shall employ auditors for the purpose of auditing the books and accounts of any such department, board, commission or other state agency, but they shall rely entirely on the state auditor for the performance of such duties, unless permission shall be given in writing so to do by both the governor and the state auditor. The provisions of this section are not intended to include counties or municipalities.
