Employees; assistance.

52:18A-78.11e. Employees; assistance. With respect to such a project, the chairman may employ such employees, advisors, consultants or agents and call upon the technical and administrative assistance of other State agencies to the extent and in the manner provided to the authority by the act to which this act is a supplement. L. 1987, c. 203, s. 2. 52:18A-78.11f. General Services Administration authority 3. a. The authority may delegate to an appropriate State agency within the General Services Administration the authority to undertake a project the aggregate amount of which, including labor and construction materials, is greater than $25,000.00, or the amount determined pursuant to subsection b. of section 2 of P.L.1954, c.48 (C.52:34-7). b. A State agency delegated by the authority to undertake a construction project pursuant to this section shall have the authority to make, negotiate or award any contract necessary to complete the construction project and shall, in the case of the State House, State House Annex and ancillary structures, and in the case of any correctional facility, award contracts for work on the project in the manner set forth in section 2 of P.L.1987, c.202 (C.52:32-2.2) and section 3 of P.L.1987, c.202 (C.52:32-2.3), and in the case of all other projects shall apply the award standard set forth in either R.S.52:32-2 or section 7 of P.L.1954, c.48 (C.52:34-12). The State agency shall comply with the applicable procedures for public advertisement for bids, the exceptions thereto and the waiver procedures. L.1987,c.203,s.3; amended 1992,c.174,s.6.
