Receipt of moneys reported to comptroller for audit and registry

52:18-34. Receipt of moneys reported to comptroller for audit and registry The state treasurer shall forthwith, upon the receipt of any interest or other moneys belonging to the state or to any fund in his custody, report the same to the comptroller for audit and registry before an acquittance or discharge is given therefor; and the same duty is imposed upon all public officers or other persons, who as agents for the state receive license fees or other moneys belonging to the state.
