Period in which authority may be exercised

52:14A-7. Period in which authority may be exercised Officials and other persons authorized to act as Governor pursuant to this act and emergency interim successors are empowered to exercise the powers and discharge the duties of an office as herein authorized only after an attack has occurred and until a successor is appointed or elected and qualified according to law, or until the lawful incumbent is able to resume the exercise of the powers and discharge the duties of the office. The Legislature, by concurrent resolution, may at any time terminate the authority of any emergency interim successors to exercise the powers and discharge the duties of any office.
