52:14-14. When terms of members of boards and commissions created by joint resolution shall terminate 52:14-14. a. Except as otherwise provided in subsection b. of this section, the terms of office of members of all commissions, committees, boards or bodies created by virtue or authority of any joint resolution of the Legislature, shall terminate upon the sine die adjournment of the session of the Legislature next following the session at which the joint resolution is passed, unless otherwise provided in the joint resolution, or unless the duties and terms of office of the commission, committee, board or body so created be extended by subsequent legislative enactment or appropriation. b. Whenever a commission is established by a joint resolution, if the commission has a time fixed to complete its duties, the time period shall not begin to run until the appointment and qualification of a number of members sufficient to constitute a quorum, unless otherwise provided in the joint resolution.
