Municipal power not impaired

51:1-1. Municipal power not impaired Nothing in this title shall be construed to abrogate or impair the power of the governing body of any municipality or of the courts to enforce any provision now existing or hereafter adopted in any municipal charter, ordinance or regulation, not inconsistent with this chapter, or to prevent or punish violations thereof.
