N.J.S.A. 46:38A-31 — Powers of custodian

46:38A-31. Powers of custodian A custodian, acting in a custodial capacity, has all the rights, powers, and authority over custodial property that unmarried adult owners have over their own property, but a custodian may exercise those rights, powers, and authority in that capacity only, and this section does not relieve a custodian from liability for breach of R.S. 46:38A-26 through R.S. 46:38A-30. A custodian may, in his discretion, terminate the custodianship at any time after the minor has attained the age of 18 years, but the power shall not be exercised by the custodian prior to a termination age fixed by the transferor as provided in subsection a. of R.S. 46:38A-52.
