46:30A-6. Item cost indicators on cash registers; visibility to customers; exceptions In any individual business establishment which has one or more cash registers with item cost indicators, said indicators shall at all times remain visible to customers making payment for items purchased or services rendered; provided, however, that this act shall not apply to business establishments that provide cash registers in each department, or an itemized sales slip, receipt or similar document fully identifying each item and stating the price thereof.
