Eligibility for licensure as perfusionist.

45:9-37.102 Eligibility for licensure as perfusionist. 9. To be eligible to be licensed as a perfusionist, an applicant shall fulfill the following requirements: a. Be at least 18 years of age; b. Be of good moral character; c. Successfully complete a perfusion education program with standards established by the Accreditation Committee for Perfusion Education and approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), or a program with substantially equivalent standards approved by the board; and d. Successfully complete the certification examination offered by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP), or its successor, or a substantially equivalent examination approved by the board.
