45:6-67. Rules and regulations on practice of dental hygienists and registered dental assistants; expiration of s. 45:6-63 Section 16 of this act shall remain in force and effect for a period not to exceed 2 years after the effective date of this act. Within 1 year after the effective date of this act, the board shall propose rules and regulations governing the practice of dental hygiene, establish a program for registration of registered dental assistants, and establish the tasks which a duly licensed dentist may assign to a registered dental assistant. Such rules and regulations shall take effect 2 years after the enactment of this act. L.1979, c. 46, s. 20, eff. March 21, 1979.
