45:2D-10 Granting license, certification to individual licensed, certified out-of-State. 10. The board may grant a license or certification to any person who at the time of application is licensed or certified by a governmental agency located in another state, territory or jurisdiction, if in the opinion of the committee the requirements of that licensure or certification are substantially similar to the requirements of this act. L.1997,c.331,s.10. 45:2D-11 Disclosure of confidential information prohibited. 11. An alcohol and drug counselor or clinical alcohol and drug counselor certified or licensed pursuant to the provisions of this act, or his employee, shall not disclose any confidential information that the counselor, or his employee, may have acquired while performing alcohol and drug counseling services for a patient unless in accordance with the federal regulations regarding the confidentiality of alcohol and drug patient records pursuant to 42 C.F.R. 2.1 et seq. L.1997,c.331,s.11.
