45:22-11. Commissioner to have general supervision; cooperation with police Subject to the provisions of this article, the commissioner of banking and insurance may prescribe the form of such books and records to be kept by the licensee, which books and records shall be preserved for a period of at least two years after making the final entry on any pledge recorded therein and shall be available to all parties in interest. He may adopt and promulgate such other rules and regulations not inconsistent with the provisions of this article as he may deem necessary for the proper conduct of his office and the enforcement of this article, and in the exercise of the powers conferred herein, he shall co-operate with the police and other officials of the several municipalities for the recovery or restoration of stolen property.
