45:15C-28 Additional fines. 18. In addition to suspension or revocation of a license, the board may levy a fine, not to exceed $1,000 for a first violation and not to exceed $2,500 for a second or subsequent violation of this act. If the violation is of a continuing nature, each day during which it continues shall constitute an additional, separate, and distinct offense. The civil penalty shall be issued for and recovered by and in the name of the board, and shall be collected by summary proceeding pursuant to the "Penalty Enforcement Law of 1999," P.L.1999, c.274 (C.2A:58-10 et seq.), including reimbursement for the cost of investigation.
