45:12-9.8 Credentialing, certification process; rules, regulations. 6. a. The New Jersey State Board of Optometrists shall establish a comprehensive credentialing and certification process for optometrists to receive certification in the use and prescription of pharmaceutical agents in the practice of optometry and promulgate the rules and regulations necessary to effectuate the purposes of P.L.1991, c. 385 (C.45:12-9.8 et seq.). b. The comprehensive credentialing and certification process established in accordance with subsection a. of this section shall include courses offered by a school that is accredited by the United States Department of Education and the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation.
