44:4-8. Necessary money charge upon municipalities of county When a county by its board of chosen freeholders shall propose to establish a county welfare-house as provided in this chapter, and shall do so by resolution in the manner required in this chapter for the purpose, the sums of money deemed necessary to carry out the provisions of this chapter shall be a charge upon the municipalities of the county to be levied, assessed and collected therefrom by the board of freeholders in the same manner as other county expenses are assessed and collected.
