Sale of property formerly used for municipal almshouses

44:4-15. Sale of property formerly used for municipal almshouses The real and personal property which has been used for municipal almshouses, abolished as provided in section 44:4-14 of this title, may be sold by the governing body and the proceeds thereof shall fall into the municipal treasury and be used to pay other expenses of the municipality in the same manner as may be otherwise lawful or such land and premises may be put to such other public use as may be lawful.
