Maintenance of undesirable poor outside of almshouse

44:2-6. Maintenance of undesirable poor outside of almshouse When an adult person has been duly committed to the almshouse of a county and the board of chosen freeholders shall deem it to the interest of the county or to the welfare of the other inmates of the almshouse that the person be not actually removed to and kept in the almshouse, the board may make such monthly allowance for the support of the person outside of the county almshouse as it may consider reasonable, not exceeding in any case the probable cost of maintaining the person in the county almshouse.
