Powers and duties of representative

44:11-5. Powers and duties of representative A representative payee appointed pursuant to this act shall be authorized and empowered to receive payments of public assistance made for and on behalf of the recipient, and to administer such payments for the sole benefit of such recipient, in accordance with the laws and regulations governing such payments. Nothing in this act shall authorize or empower such representative payee to receive, hold or administer any other property, real or personal, of the recipient nor to act as representative of the recipient in any other manner whatsoever.
