44:1-4. Acquisition of real estate for welfare-house The board of chosen freeholders may purchase and lease real estate for the welfare-house, including any municipal almshouse suitable therefor, or acquire such property and easements therein by lease, purchase or condemnation, and the power of eminent domain may be exercised as provided by chapter 1 of the title Eminent Domain (s. 20:1-1 et seq.).
