Payment of home relief

44:1-133. Payment of home relief The sum ordered to be paid for the maintenance and support of a poor person in the home as provided in this article shall be a charge against the municipality, county or district in which the poor person has a settlement, and shall be payable monthly upon the application of the overseer or the superintendent out of the funds from which other expenses of relief and settlement of the permanent poor are paid. The sum shall be for use only for the care and maintenance of the person for whom such relief has been ordered.
