43:21-24.4. Agreements with United States The Director of the Division of Employment Security on behalf of the division is authorized to enter into agreements with the Secretary of Labor of the United States on behalf of the United States under which the division (a) will make, as agent of the United States, payments of unemployment compensation to individuals who may be eligible therefor under any law of the United States, and will otherwise cooperate with the Secretary of Labor of the United States and with agencies of other states in making payments of unemployment compensation under any such laws; provided, however, that all costs incurred, all expenses paid and all such compensation benefits paid shall be paid or reimbursed by the United States and shall not devolve upon the State of New Jersey; or (b) will receive reimbursement from the United States for unemployment compensation paid pursuant to any law of this State or of the United States; and the division shall perform such agreements.
