Retirement when physically or mentally unfit

43:10-50. Retirement when physically or mentally unfit 43:10-50. Any county probation officer who shall have served as such for a continuous period of twenty years, whether he has reached the age of sixty years or not, who shall be found to be physically or mentally unfit for further service shall, upon application in writing to the assignment judge of the Superior Court of his county, be retired upon one-half pay.
