42:2A-8. Registered office and registered agent Registered office and registered agent. a. Every domestic and foreign limited partnership shall continuously maintain in this State a registered office, which may, but need not be a place of business maintained by it in the State of New Jersey and a registered agent having a business office identical with the registered office. b. All the records required by section 9 of P.L. 1983, c. 489 (C. 42:2A-9) to be maintained shall be kept at the limited partnership's principal office and upon five days' written request by any partner, shall be made available at the registered office for the inspection and copying by any partner during ordinary business hours. The cost of copying shall be borne by the partner requesting copies. c. The registered agent shall be an agent for service of process upon the limited partnership, and shall be an individual resident of this State, a domestic corporation or a foreign corporation authorized to do business in this State.
