40A:9-78.3 Veteran identification card program. 3. A county clerk or register of deeds and mortgages, as appropriate, may establish a veteran identification card program for the sole purpose of identifying the holder as a veteran when such identification is required to receive discounts or other courtesies extended to military veterans, or to prove status as a veteran or character of service to receive benefits afforded veterans under the laws of this State, if eligible.
