Commission; effective date; term of office

40A:9-63.1. Commission; effective date; term of office The commission of every newly-elected county clerk shall bear date and take effect on January 1 next succeeding his election, or if such date falls upon a Sunday, then on the following day, and the term of his office shall be 5 years.
